Intricate pottery shard discovered at Mes Aynak.
A huge quantity of potshards has been found, illustrating the very homogenous way in the production of the 3rd to 9th centuries. Shards ornamented with stamps are of particular interest as they show various male and female crowned heads that could be compared with those on Kushan-Sassanian coins. They date to the 4th to 6th century CE.
