Abstract:
「生前中は、皆様より格別なご厚情、ご愛顧をいただき…」という遺族の挨拶に、違和感を持つ人はいない。東アジア世界が、「現世」を「生前」と認識してきたのは、過去世、現世、来世の三世のうち、「来世」に対する尋常でない関心の強さが背景にあるからであろう。そのような観念的虚構世界は、独自の固有性を保ちながらも、多くの共通点とともに、世界各域に数多く見出すことができる。広大なユーラシアの大地を媒体とする巨大な交流総体「シルクロード」が持っている文化交流の蓄積のなかに浮かび上がる、ひとびとの来世観。
